The Heuchera 'Shanghai'—Shanghai Alum Root—is a perennial valued for its ruffled, silvery-purple leaves and robust mounding habit. Thriving in zones 4-9, it stretches up to 18 inches tall with a 14-inch spread. In late spring to early summer, delicate white flowers on slender 24-inch stems appear, adding airy contrast. Prefers partial to full shade and moist, well-drained soils. Excellent for borders, groundcover, or woodland gardens.
