Overview

Hairy Gumweed (Grindelia hirsutula) is an herbaceous perennial, flourishing in USDA Zones 4-8. It boasts yellow daisy-like flowers, which bloom late spring through summer, atop sticky, hairy stems, reaching heights of 1-2 feet and spreading up to 18 inches wide. Preferring full sun and well-drained soils, it's drought-tolerant and excellent for xeriscapes. Attracts pollinators while adding vibrant color and texture to rock gardens and wildflower meadows.
