Geum Chiloense

Design with this plant

Overview

The Double-Scarlet Geum, Geum chiloense, is a perennial with a flair for vibrant, ruffled blooms reminiscent of miniature roses. Thriving in zones 5-9, this hardy plant reaches 18-24 inches in height and spreads 12-18 inches wide. Preferring full sun to part shade, it's ideal in borders or as ground cover. Blooming from late spring to mid-summer, its scarlet double flowers attract pollinators while resisting deer. Regular deadheading promotes longer flowering.
