Tall Fescue

Overview

Tall Fescue (Festuca arundinacea) is a robust, cool-season grass, favored for its adaptability. It features deep-rooted, thick clumps of fine, dark-green blades, growing 2-4 feet high, tolerant of a wide range of soils and partial shade. Its dense tufts provide year-round ground cover and erosion control. Requires moderate watering, with a greater resistance to drought and foot traffic than other cool-season grasses. Ideal for lawns and high-traffic areas.
