Overview
Eutrochium maculatum, or Spotted Joe Pye Weed, is a robust perennial native to moist, rich soils in sun to part shade. It features striking mauve-pink flower clusters atop sturdy, spotted stems that can reach 5-7 feet tall. This plant is an excellent butterfly attractor and blooms from late summer to early fall, adding height and late-season interest to any garden. Hardiness ranges from Zones 4 through 8.
