Design with this plant

Overview

Eragrostis intermedia, commonly called Plains Lovegrass, is a warm-season perennial grass thriving in USDA zones 5-9. It forms tufted, upright clumps reaching 2-3 feet tall and wide, with delicate green foliage and airy, reddish-purple seed heads in summer. This drought-resistant species prefers full sun and well-drained soil, adding texture and movement to prairie gardens and meadows. Its low water needs make it a sustainable choice for xeriscaping.
