Elaeagnus Multiflora
Overview
The Goumi, Elaeagnus multiflora, is a resilient deciduous shrub reaching 6-10 feet in height and spread. Celebrated for fragrant creamy-white flowers in spring and bright red edible berries in summer, they attract pollinators and wildlife. Thrives in full sun to partial shade, in well-drained soils. Nitrogen-fixing roots enhance soil fertility, making it an excellent companion plant. Hardy in zones 4-9, it adds a multi-seasonal interest to any landscape.
