Tufted Hair Grass
Deschampsia Cespitosa
Overview
Tufted Hair Grass (Deschampsia cespitosa) is an elegant, fine-textured ornamental grass standing 2-3 feet tall with a similar spread. Sturdy evergreen clumps boast airy, delicate flower panicles that shimmer golden in sunlight, rising above bright green foliage from late spring to midsummer. Prefers moist, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Hardy, low-maintenance, and provides graceful movement, it's ideal for mass plantings and naturalistic gardens.
