Overview

The Autumn Crocus (Colchicum cilicicum) is a bulbous perennial offering a late-season surprise with its lilac-pink, goblet-shaped flowers. Blossoming in fall, each bulb produces up to 6-inch-tall blossoms, with foliage emerging in spring. Thriving in USDA zones 5-9, plant in partial shade or full sun in well-drained soil. Space bulbs 6 inches apart and 3 inches deep for a naturalizing effect. Caution: All plant parts are toxic if ingested.
