The Kaffir Lily, Clivia miniata, is a shade-loving perennial with thick, strap-like green leaves reaching 2-3 feet in length. In late winter to early spring, it boasts vivid orange-red flowers in clusters atop a 1.5-2-foot stalk. This evergreen is drought-tolerant once established and prefers well-drained soil.
