Overview

New Jersey Tea (Ceanothus americanus) is a native, deciduous shrub renowned for its deep, green foliage and dense clusters of tiny, fragrant white flowers blooming in May-July. A compact grower, it reaches 3 ft in height and spreads 3-5 ft wide. It thrives in full sun to part shade with dry to medium, well-drained soils. Its low maintenance and drought tolerance make it ideal for xeriscaping and wildlife gardens. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.
