Overview

Eastern Star Sedge, Carex radiata, is a North American native perennial grass, thriving in zones 4-9. It flourishes in partial to full shade with moist, well-drained soils. Maturing to 1-2 ft tall and wide, its fine-textured, bright green leaves form tidy, fountain-like clumps. This low-maintenance sedge adds texture to woodland gardens and borders, serving as a versatile ground cover and habitat for wildlife. Hardy and adaptable, it is also deer resistant.
