Slender Sedge
Carex Lasiocarpa
Overview
Slender Sedge (Carex lasiocarpa) shines in wetland aesthetics, thriving in moist soils (pH 5.8-7.2) with full to partial sun. Its delicate, fine-textured foliage reaches up to 3 feet high, spreading 1-2 feet. Winter-hardy (zones 3-7), with feathery seed heads adding summer allure. Consider for natural water features, creating dense, graceful tufts. Minimal maintenance; clip old growth in spring. Ideal for ecological, low-footprint designs.
