The White False Indigo, Baptisia alba, is a robust perennial native to North America. This stately plant features upright stems that can reach 3 to 4 feet tall, crowned with spires of pea-like, white flowers in spring. Its blue-green foliage adds textural contrast to gardens. Suited to USDA zones 5 to 9, it thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soils. Drought tolerance makes it a low-maintenance addition.
