Pelican Flower
Aristolochia Grandiflora
Overview
Aristolochia grandiflora, or Pelican Flower, is a striking vine known for its immense, peculiar flowers that can reach up to 12 inches across. It exhibits a heart-shaped, mottled maroon and creamy white bloom with a pronounced curved “beak,” giving it a pelican-like appearance. Thriving in warm climates, it favors part shade. Handle with care; all parts are toxic and may attract pollinators like flies with its distinctive scent.
