Overview
The Pacific Madrone (Arbutus menziesii) is an evergreen with striking features: glossy green leaves, rich red-brown bark, and bell-shaped flowers, followed by orange-red berries. It grows 50-100 ft tall and 20-30 ft wide. Preferring well-drained soil, it's drought-tolerant once established. Provide ample space to showcase its sculptural form and peeling bark. Adds year-round interest and wildlife value. Ideal for large spaces and native plant landscapes. Zones: 7-9.
