Perennial Peanut

Overview

Arachis glabrata, or Perennial Peanut, is a durable, low-growing legume groundcover that reaches 6-12 inches in height. Its bright yellow blooms add aesthetic appeal while providing soil stabilization. Hardy in zones 8-11, its lush foliage thrives in full sun to partial shade and requires minimal maintenance. With efficient drought tolerance once established, it's an excellent turf alternative, enriching the soil through nitrogen fixation and demanding less water and no mowing.
