Aloe Vera Or Medicinal Aloe
Aloe Vera
Overview
Aloe vera, famed for its medicinal gel, is an evergreen perennial thriving in USDA zones 9-11. It reaches 24-39 inches in height and spreads up to 24 inches wide. This succulent demands well-drained soil and full to partial sun. Its gray-green, lance-shaped leaves possess toothed margins. Yellow tubular flowers on spikes accent the plant in summer. A drought-tolerant choice, ideal for xeriscaping or as an accent in rock gardens.
