Overview

Allium tricoccum, or Wild Leek, is a North American woodland perennial prized for its delicate early spring foliage and edible bulb. It grows 6 to 18 inches tall in shady areas with moist, rich soil. This plant produces broad, smooth green leaves that die back before the July flower spike with white blooms emerges. It's excellent for naturalized areas, offering a unique, onion-like flavor for culinary use. Zones 5–9.
