Overview
The Star of Persia (Allium cristophii) is a striking ornamental bulb known for its large, spherical clusters of lavender, star-shaped blooms reaching up to 12 inches across. This perennial grows to a height of 18–24 inches and prefers well-drained soil in full sun. It blooms in late spring to early summer, adding a dazzling display to borders and beds, and is resistant to deer and most pests. Hardy in zones 4-8.
