Iodinebush
Allenrolfea Occidentalis
Overview
Iodinebush (Allenrolfea occidentalis) is a hardy, evergreen shrub thriving in arid zones. Adaptable to saline soils, it stands 1-3 feet tall with spongy, succulent stems and scale-like leaves that minimize water loss. Its inconspicuous flowers bloom in summer to fall. This low-maintenance halophyte is excellent for xeriscaping and erosion control, requiring full sun and minimal water once established. Adds unique texture and salt-tolerant resilience to landscapes.
