The Octopus Agave, Agave vilmoriniana, is a striking succulent that reaches up to 4-6 feet in height and width. Its elongated, twisting leaves resemble octopus tentacles, creating a dramatic visual. Ideal for xeriscaping, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soils, needing minimal water. This agave blooms once at maturity, around 10-15 years, with a 10-15 feet tall flower spike, then dies, leaving offsets for propagation.
