Agave Shawii
Overview
Agave shawii, or Shaw's Century Plant, is a robust succulent native to the Baja California region. It presents with fleshy, spiny-edged leaves forming rosettes up to 3 feet in diameter. This perennial showcases yellow blossoms on 10–15 feet high stalks late in its life, which is typically 10-25 years. Preferring full sun, well-drained soil, and minimal water, it's ideal for xeriscape designs in USDA zones 9-11.
