Acer Glabra
Overview
The Rocky Mountain Maple, Acer glabrum, is a small, deciduous tree native to North America, typically growing 10-25 feet tall. It features a rounded canopy with slender branches and green, lobed leaves turning vibrant yellow-red in fall. Preferring zones 5-8, it thrives in well-drained soil and partial to full sun. Its modest size and scenic foliage make it an excellent choice for accentuating gardens and providing shade.
