Willow Acacia, Australian Willow

Overview

The Willow Acacia (Acacia salicina) is an evergreen native to Australia, prized for its weeping form resembling willows. Thriving in USDA zones 9-11, it reaches 20-40 feet in height with a 10-20-foot spread. This low-maintenance tree flaunts narrow silvery-green leaves and fragrant creamy-yellow flowers in fall. Flourishes in full sun with moderate water. Well-suited for vertical emphasis in arid landscapes, it's adaptable to a variety of soils, drought-resistant, and produces minimal litter.
